Terms of Service

Effective September 18, 2026. Hillion is operated by Jonathan Cline (“we”, “us”). Contact: privacy@hillion.io.

By playing Hillion you agree to these terms. They are short because the game is simple.

1. The game

Hillion is a party trivia game. Answers are scored by an automated system built on an AI model. It is good, not perfect: an answer you consider correct may be marked wrong, and obscurity scores are judgments, not facts. Scores are final for the game in which they were given. You can flag a question during a game and we use flags to improve the question bank, but we do not re-score past games.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to play, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to buy a subscription.

3. Conduct

Do not use the game to harass other players, do not enter names or answers that are abusive or unlawful, and do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it, or overload it. We may remove players or rooms that break these rules.

4. Accounts (when accounts are enabled)

An account is only needed to buy a subscription. You are responsible for the email address or Google account you sign in with. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu; doing so ends any active subscription at the end of the paid period.

5. Subscriptions (when subscriptions are enabled)

6. Advertising (when ads are enabled)

Players without a subscription may see ads served by Google. We do not control the content of those ads, and clicking one takes you to the advertiser's site under its own terms.

7. Content

The questions, artwork, sounds, and code of Hillion belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or resell them. The names and answers you type stay yours; by entering them you let us show them to the other players in your game and use them to run and improve the game as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Availability

We try to keep Hillion running, but it is provided “as is” and may be unavailable, change, or end. Games in progress may be lost during an outage. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it, if you break these terms.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Hillion, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you protections that cannot be waived, you keep them.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date at the top and, where we can, tell you in the game or by email. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
